We are making difference where it matters the most.

We are a company where disabled artists can safely test, evolve and produce their work.

We are proud to support and collaborate with amazing disabled, d/Deaf and Neurodivergent artists on stage and beyond.

Artists engagement in any Vital Xposure activity, from the initial concept and the rehearsal room through to the opening night and set get-out, provides a stepping stone in their professional development and enjoyment in their creative practice.

We are committed to making artists’ involvement in our work a stepping stone both for their creative practice and their professional career.

  • Our inaugural writers’ development programme, Wellspring, supported 16 London-based emerging disabled playwrights to take solid steps in the industry.
  • Our VX Labs research programme has been providing a space for innovation and to strengthen artistic practices:

Over the years we have reached thousands of audiences, worked with and supported hundreds of disabled and non-disabled creatives. In every production we earned new supporters and partners helping us to bring hidden and untold stories to audiences across the country and internationally. 

In recent years we embarked on a our most creative and ambitious journey: bringing sector change by demonstrating the value of disabled-led approaches in who makes theatre and creative access in how theatre is made. 

Since 2022 we have supported and worked with over 350 artists and creatives, created and developed connections with 40 organisations and industry peers across England, in addition to over 3,500 audiences who came to see our touring productions and publishing 3 research reports exploring the creative power of access in theatre-making.
